Community Support Services, Inc. receives invaluable support from community volunteers. Volunteers work with our supported individuals in activities, programs and events,"behind the scenes" in supportive roles in administration, event planning and set-up, and as community advocates for individuals in Montgomery County with developmental disabilities.

Holiday Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for special events volunteers for the following events/dates. These volunteers will help set-up, staff, and clean-up post-event. Youth under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers must be able to lift items up to 15 lbs in weight, stand for 2-3 hours at a time, and be sensitive/compassionate around individuals with developmental disabilities. All volunteers must complete a volunteer application prior to volunteering at CSS event.
*PLEASE NOTE- we do not have large scale holiday events and therefore only require approximately 20-25 volunteers during the holiday season. We give preference to existing volunteers who wish to serve during this time. Volunteer spots are given on a first-come, first-serve basis.*
Hanukkah Celebration, December 9, 2010 5-7 p.m. 2-4 volunteers needed
Craft and Giftmaking Social, December 12, 2010 1-5 p.m., 5-10 volunteers needed
Client Holiday Party, Sunday, December 19, 2010 5-9 p.m., 5-8 volunteers needed
Christmas Day Client Dinner, Saturday, December 24, 2010 11 a.m.-2 p.m. 5-8 volunteers needed
