RESIDENTIAL INSTRUCTIONAL ASSOCIATE

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or an AA degree in the human services field and one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Scope of Work: The Residential Instructional Associate is responsible for the participants in the residential program and provides individualized support and assistance.

Job Duties Include: Assisting individuals in developing and maintaining a warm living environment; supporting individuals in accessing community resources, maintaining family relationships and developing friendships; facilitating and implementing the development of an appropriate Individual Plan; coordinating services with behavioral, instructional, nursing and other consultants; assisting individuals to arrange for maintenance of the home as needed; assisting individuals in arranging personal finances; and adhering to agency Policies and Procedures, as well as all federal, state and local regulations.



EMPLOYMENT INSTRUCTIONAL ASSOCIATE

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or an AA degree in the human services field and two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Scope of Work: The Employment Instructional Associate is responsible for individuals participating in the Day Habilitation and Supported Employment programs and provides individualized support to consumers for the promotion of positive habilitative outcomes during the day and/or the acquisition and maintainence of employment.

Job Duties Include: Assisting consumers in accessing transportation to work by teaching them to use the public transit system, arranging car pools, or providing transportation as needed; conducting systematic job development and job matching activities for one or two program participants; teaching job-seeking skills to individuals; developing training procedures at the job site; assisting CSS personnel (i. e., supervisors and co-workers) to implement training procedures; providing systematic on-the-job training for one or two individuals; collecting and evaluating data as necessary; providing follow-up support to participants and employers, as necessary; assisting one or two individuals in the Supported Employment program with the management of personal finances.



COMMUNITY LIVING ASSOCIATE

Qualifications: An AA degree in the human services field or one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Scope of Work: The Community Living Associate is responsible for the individuals in the residential program by assisting in the provision of a safe and warm home-like environment.

Job Duties Include: Supporting individuals in the daily care of their home; implementing and assisting in the design of the daily activity schedule; performing daily duties in coordination with the Residential Instructional Associate to facilitate effective program implementation; adhering to agency Policies and Procedures, as well as all federal, state and local regulations.
