Volunteer
Community Support Services, Inc. receives invaluable support from community members who volunteer their time. They work with individuals during activities, programs and events. Volunteers also help out behind the scenes, assisting with administrative work, event planning and implementation, and as community advocates for individuals with developmental disabilities in Montgomery County.
*Note: Volunteer hours at CSS may be applied toward Montgomery Country SSL requirements for students.

Advocate
Individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities face immense obstacles in achieving an independent life, despite the continued advancement of disability rights, treatments and service available. In addition to self-advocating, these individuals need the support of their communities and the people who care about them. As an advocate, the first step in helping to ensure these individuals achieve independence, and a high quality of life, is education.
