The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) is in the process of implementing changes in how services are defined, and how the individual plan is developed and funded. While some changes have already occurred, many more are being planned. As teams are held this year, the individual is being asked to express what he/she would like to have in the PCP for the future. It is important that we understand what services are available, and how they are to be documented in the person centered plan in order to be approved by DDA for funding. While more changes may occur, and the implementation of all the services is delayed again, CSS is starting a process of informational forums to explore the service descriptions and the impact on people we support.
We encourage every family member involved with their person’s team meeting to attend, share any concerns, and learn about the proposed service changes.
