My cousin encouraged me to apply at CSS because I was a certified nursing assistant and had patience in working with other people. So I’ve been a DSP for the past three years. I used to work with seniors, but they didn’t go out a lot. This job is different … it’s more fun and interesting because they go out and do a lot of activities. You’re always busy with them. But the pandemic has made it difficult because you’re indoors a lot and you have to explain to them why they can’t follow their regular schedule. It’s difficult for them to understand. I like this job because I like to work with autistic people, I like helping them and I like working as a team in the house.
